    This might depend on the exact version of WPS you are using. In the latest EA releases your program works as expected.

    Perhaps you could try

    ODS LISTING CLOSE;

    ODS NEWLISTING;

    at the top of your program and re-try?

    I'm using WPS v4.1 and I'm not able to justify the footnote to the left.

    Did you try the above statements at the top of your program in WPS 4.1? The footnotes in the LISTING output should be left justified. Try using the file= option to write the output to a specific file such as ODS NEWLISTING FILE='test.lst";

    Using the following code:

    I obtain the following output:

    instead of:

    (to be able to do this I added dummy spaces as in the following code and I shouldn't do it)

    I'm sorry but from your initial description I thought you were using line pointer controls

    line @0 "Footnote 1";
    line @2 "Footnote 2";

    .. and for these I was able to output a listing file with ODS NEWLISTING FILE="test.lst"; with WPS 4.1 GA where the Footnotes were placed on the left.

    Thanks! You are right, combining the newlisting with the @ it works!

    May I remove the warning message from the log?

    WARNING: ODS NEWLISTING is currently EXPERIMENTAL and is subject to change

    I believe ODS NEWLISTING will be the default listing output in WPS 4.2 or EA versions of 4.2 and then no warning will be issued, but in WPS 4.1 it was experimental and hence the warning.
